Love makes the world go round but money fuels our tummies

How important is money?

Recently I have been told twice in different situations that I've changed and become money concious in a negative way.

I am wondering what prompted the comment?

Is planning to become financially independent a bad thing? Is looking after the family's finances considered bad in any way?

I am confused and offended.

I admit I am a tightwad at times. I try to implement a budget for our family and save more than 60% of hubby's salary. In addition I have tried to earn through my blogs too. Are all these bad?

We all dream to live comfortably. I have a secret wish to be a millionaire, no, make that a billionaire. And if taking one step or two steps into that direction makes me bad, I'd rather be bad than wallow in debts.

There is a big difference between being a slave to money and being wise with money.

I choose the latter.

i don't see why saving money and earning some more can be bad. in fact, it is a lot better than wasting money...
