To Franchise or not

If you've been reading Mumsified, my other blog, you'd know what I'm talking about here.

While browsing for ideas about my up and coming travel agency *wide grin*, I ran into a number of franchise opportunity for travel agency business. I wonder if it would be a good idea to start my business that way?

I sure don't have a lot of knowledge about this business I am going into. What I have is just a background for the tourism business. After all I have a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Administration and I did work in a Resort before.

But I couldn't help and get a little scared. Honestly, I don't have any idea how to start. I know how to make it work but starting up is a little complicated, in my opinion.

But if I do get a franchise, I know I would have to shell out a lot of money. And I don't wanna do that.

I think I would just have to attend trainings and seminars on how to start up the business. It would be less costly that way.
