Imaginary savings

I have another project. Oh yes, there are so many that it sometimes make me dizzy remembering each. LOL

Seriously, this is my third project. My first one was the "lose weight" project. I have some lapses but I am doing great. After a brief vacation in the Philippines, I am back to working on this project again. I have already lost the two kilos that I have gained in Philippines. And I am still working on losing more, at least 10 more pounds.

My second project was the "losyang no more" project. It's still in progress. Although I don't get to post more pictures here because I always forget to take pictures of my outfit. And when I do remember, it's already late. It's either it's too crumpled or has been soiled already. Ugh.

My third and latest project involves money, albeit imaginary. I am planning to make this real soon. But for now, I am having fun earning/saving imaginary money.

What's it all about?

I drink coffee from Starbucks almost everyday. Sometimes, I even have two tall cafe lattes (low fat of course! hehe). Although drinking one cup of coffee a day is good (it has antioxidants), I realized that it's eating up a sizable amount of money too.

Take this:

1 order of tall (smallest) cafe latte in a day - RM10
In one month - RM300
In one year - RM3600

Roughly that's $1,000/year or P46,000! That's a lot of money isn't it? Well, at least for me.

So I have decided to cut back on my coffee binges, hahaha! And to make all this fun, this is where my latest project comes in.

If I crave for a coffee and I stop myself from actually buying it, I put an imaginary RM10 in my imaginary savings account. But if I do buy the coffee, I deduct twice the actual amount in my imaginary savings.

I started this last Saturday. And I am proud to say I have a RM30 sitting in my account now. It would have been RM50 yesterday but I succumb to my cravings and bought a coffee yesterday.

Fun, isn't it? LOL

It make me look like I have nothing better to do in real life than do this imaginary exercises. I do! I have actually a lot of work: all house chores, taking care of a child, working on my assignments, working on my two other projects, reading business books, planning for our future, etc, etc. Hahaha! But these projects of mine keep me on my toes. It's fun and I really do enjoy doing them.

So there. That's my latest craziness! LOL
