I finally finished one book this past month. Yay for me! Hahaha!!! I did finish reading Love Story by Erich Segal. I actually finished it in two days. And that's already an accomplishment for me these days.
I know I'd cry at the last part. I've read this book already. I know what to expect. But then, I still cried. I couldn't help it.
But right after I finished the book, I got a little pissed off. There was a prelude to a "new" book by the same author. It was Oliver's story two years after Jenny died. And I have to tell you, I didn't like it.
I mean, the Love Story was meant to be a great love story. There shouldn't have been a continuation. Otherwise, it wouldn't have been a great love story.
You know what I mean?
But that's just my humble opinion. For sure, I won't be looking for that book.

Beautiful colors
I may not strike you as an artsy fartsy kind of person, but believe me I do appreciate art in any form. Sometimes though, it only manifests through fashion. And sometimes, in bad fashion. Hahahaha!!!
I have been browsing for paintings because I want to put some type of art into our home and I've come across this beautiful art prints.

Photos from framedartdecor.com
I really do like abstract, eversince. I like the play of colors and how it's easy on my eyes.
What kind of paintings do you like?

Keeping the spirits up
I still haven't lost weight. Arrrggg. To be honest, I feel pretty pissed. I've been doing skipping rope everyday for 20 minutes and another 20 minutes doing toning exercises. I've even bought new sets of heavier dumb bells!
Hmmm, what are the effective weight loss supplements? I really might just get one. Because I want to look nice in my christmas family picture. LOL!
I visited Self.com again tonight for motivation. And I read that if you're doing toning exercises, don't expect to see shrinking numbers right away. But you'd definitely see a smaller and more toned body. Hmmm....I don't see that yet in my body. LOL!
I am not disheartened. I will still continue to do my exercises everyday, because at the end of my workout I feel happier. Nothing can beat that. And I know in the long run that I WILL lose weight!

Colds, colds go away
This morning I was feeling okay. Even early afternoon, I was still fine. I was still able to make a new batch of puto cheese. Check my mumsified blog.
At about 2:30pm, I felt sluggish and it was downhill from there. Throbbing headache, watery eyes and itchy nose.
I've got colds!
I religiously take my vitamin c supplement daily and I eat my fair share of veggies but one wrong move (like getting wet from rain) gives me cold already. I really have a low immune system.
Anyway, I called the ever realible Bamboo Spa for a home service massage. Thankfully my favorite therapist was available!
My therapist arrived with a spa cover, massage oil and her charming smile.
I still have blocked/runny nose (yes, simultaneously) now but I feel good after the massage. I will sleep early tonight. Hopefully, I'll feel better tomorrow.

My ideal weight
Okay, I think it's really time I get serious with my weight loss project again. I've been avoiding the mirror and the weighing scale for the past 6 months now. And it pains me to look at my cabinet. Why? Because I have a few couple of dresses and tops which I want to wear but couldn't wear. I even have some new tops which I haven't worn yet. Sigh.
So I am 69kgs. There I said it. Two weeks ago, I was actually 71kgs. Horrors!!!!
I was at my lightest last May 2009. I was 62kgs then. But at the time, I thought I still looked fat. When I look at my pictures then, I realize I wasn't fat. I was actually thin. No wonder I got wonderful comments from my FB community at that time. I didn't believe them though. I really really thought I looked fat.
My goal is to lose 7-9kgs this time. No time frame but if I could lose all that before christmas that would be super. I guess that's asking too much so I will just settle for 6 months. I guess that's plenty of time to lose all those flabs.
The ideal weight for my height of 5'5" is actually between 57kgs to 70kgs depending on one's body frame.
For my body frame, I guess 69kgs is a little overweight. Losing 7-9 kgs would be perfect for me.
I know it's single digit but that's in kgs. Multiply it by 2.2 and that's already daunting in lbs.
How do I accomplish my weight loss project this time?
1) Portion control
2) Exercise. I have been doing jumping rope again and doing some core exercises.
3) Take the best supplements for weight loss so I won't look haggard.
4) Drink plenty of water and green tea.
There!
Goodluck to me. I plan to report back here every week for my progress. I hope I can do this again. The last time I posted my project here it backfired, and instead of losing weight, I gained more. Duh!
Sigh.

I want 001
I came across a meme before about wants. I couldn't remember the link anymore though. So I will just start my own. It's easier and faster plus I don't have the obligation to visit each and every link. Shhhh...LOL!
Here's my meme. I will post my weekly wants. Anything. Impossible. Silly. Whatever. No limits, no minimum. No explantions. Just pure want/like/lust/desire/something you fancy or covet. Every Thursday.
Here's mine this week:
1) I want this white elephant teapot.

2) I want discount coupons. A sears coupons will do.
3) Rain on Friday night.
4) A mulberry bag

~ END~
What about you, what do you want, like, covet or desire this week? =)

Made in the moment
I am supposed to be looking for easy ways to lose weight but instead I am watching Smallville's latest episode "Homecoming" again and again. I don't remember any more how many times I've watched it on my downloaded video. Thank God for free downloads in the internet.
Anyways, have you seen it? My vote is that it's the best episode ever of Smallville! And I am not alone in saying that. Check out their facebook fan page =)
Why do I say it's the best episode ever? Hmmm...where do I start?
I've been watching this series since I was in the Philippines. I love Superman and I guess it's but natural that I would love a story of how Superman came to be.
For years now, I have been waiting for the Lois and Clark story. And in this episode, it's that and more. I love the ending. Two people inlove, dancing. It couldn't get any romantic than that...
CK also floated...which means he could be flying next. Wooooohoooo!!!
I couldn't wait for the next episode. You can bet, I'd be downloading like crazy this coming weekend. Don't disturb me okay? LOL!

Tea for life
I have been drinking green tea again. I have always wanted to drink green tea but it's not always found in the groceries here.
When I found a tin box of green tea loose leaf at Gloria Jean's Coffee. I was ecstatic. Hahaha, okay, that exaggerated. But you get my point.
I bought it for $5 something. I thought it was expensive. But I have drinking 3 times during the day for the past 5 days and it's still almost full. I think I got a bargain.
You ask why green tea?
Well, in the name of losing weight, I have done my fair share of research. Funny but true! I've come across new words like chromium polynicotinate, catechins polyphenols and other scientific words which supposedly aid in losing weight.
Before my research, I have been drinking tea already. And I found out that green tea is the best in terms of health benefits. Aside from the aid in weight loss, green tea is said to inhibit growth of cancer cells and even kill cancer cells without harming healthy tissues. But don't quote me. I just got it from the net too. Hehehe.
Drinking green tea is a win-win for me. It keeps me full so I don't over eat every meal. For me, that's a winner already.

By my bedside
I went to the bookstore yesterday without intention of buying another book for myself. I just wanted to buy a book for my son.
But I don't know what wrong with me. I bought a book for myself! There's nothing wrong with buying books. But if you've got books this much that needs to be finished then it's wrong. Hehehe.
The books are (from the bottom):
1) The Laws of Money, The Lessons of Life by Suze Orman - I bought this at a second hand bookstore here in Phnom Penh. I haven't opened the book since then.
2) 10-10-10 A life Transforming Idea by Suzy Welsch - bought this in KL at 20% discount. I have only skimmed the book.
3) Seven Secrets of Successful Parenting by Karen Doherty and Georgia Coleridge - I have read the seven secrets but not the explanation.
4) One for my baby by Tony Parsons - bought this in KL also. I have read the first couple of pages only.
5) The trouble with Marriage by Debby Holt - I bought it here. Still haven't read it.
6) Love Story by Erich Segal - This is the book I bought yesterday. I have read this before. But I want to read it again.
7) Eat Pray Love by Elizabeth Gilbert - bought this here. I have read one third of the book. Still a long way.
8) The other side of midnight by Sidney Sheldon - I have read this when I was still in highschool. I saw it in a second hand bookstore here and I planned to re-read it again. I am half way finished. Yay.
Do you hoard books as well? I really need to finish all these books before the year ends. I know I can do it.

Sunday Sharing
I have been productive today. I started my gardening project and it's looking quite good. I still have to buy some seeds though. I am planning to plant herbs. Right now I have some roses and chili. Hehehe, odd combination but I am happy with it.
I promise to be healthy, to be nice, to look on the brighter side of life, to be always grateful, to be productive, to keep on exploring, growing and to learn more about everything and to keep my feet on the ground at all times.
I have forgotten about my "losyang no more project". I am thinking of reviving it. But before I do that, I have to be serious with my weight loss. Otherwise, I'd look "losyang" in the pictures. Hahaha!
I have started reading Eat Pray Love again. I want to finish it before I watch it on DVD for comparison.
I need to get my groove back on beading. I haven't touched my tools for more than a couple of weeks now. Must look for inspiration.
Lastly, I am so grateful for all the blessings. Life is good. But I believe there's more goodness to come =)

Entertainment
People really do need different form of entertainment. It can get quite boring if let's say I play tennis only. I like variety even in my food.
I am saying this because I am a little obsessed about Smallville season 10 again. I heard it's the final season and the first two episodes which I saw are really good. I love Lois and Clark. They're sooo kilig! You have to see it to know what I mean. Hehehe.
Smallville is not being shown in any of the channels available here. So that drove me to Mr. G. Thankfully, there are nice people out there who upload Smallville videos for people like me to watch it. I have downloaded the two episodes already and I am currently downloading the third one. I can't wait to see it. I wish we have a faster internet connection.
Anyway, I am also consumed with Wii. You can read it on my previous post and in my post in Mumsified.
So what about you? What do you play? Or what are you currently obsessed about? =)

Exercise made fun
I love to exercise but I have to admit there are days when I am too lazy to move and unmotivated to exercise. Sometimes exercise becomes too much of a chore already.
But guess what? I moved around all day yesterday without noticing that I have been exercising all day too. What did I do?
I played wii games all day with hubby and EJ.
Of all the games, I love playing the wii sports particularly tennis and bowling. I do play these games in real life and it's interesting to compare how I fare in both real and in wii games.
The exciting part is that I am having all the fun plus I am exercising too! We did not buy the wii fit but I am convinced now we should head back to Sovanna Mall to get it.
I am really amazed with wii. Whoever made this, is one pure genius. Your movements are reflected well in the TV through the controller. Amazing!
I know the Nintendo Wii was released last 2006. We should have bought this earlier.
But then it's not too late. I heard more games and new consoles are coming. Now, excuse me while I play some tennis again =)

Once in a while
My FB status today is this: "People are often unreasonable and self-centered, forgive them anyway. The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow; do good anyway. Wii =)"
Sometimes people get the better of me. But I always tell myself to be nice and kind. Most of the time I succeed. But there are times that I don't. Hahaha.
Anyway, I got the above quote from my email today. And I like it. It's titled "Final Analysis". No author mentioned, however, there is a picture of Mother Theresa. I am not sure if that means, she's the author.
Anyway, here it is:
I said Wii, because, we just bought a Wii today. If it wasn't for the Wii, I would have exploded. Hahaha! Ang babaw noh? But that's me =)

Hello October
Hi there October.
You came so fast, didn't you? I wasn't expecting you this soon. But here you are now, so, welcome!
I hope you bring happy days and colder weather here in Phnom Penh. I am tired of this hot and humid temperature. I am ready to wear my red cardigan again. Oh and my white and gray too.
If there's more rain, I may even buy some nice and fashionable boots. Wishful thinking! =)
Since you're already here, please stay a while longer. I have a lot to accomplish before you go. I don't want you rushing me, okay?
