Go Lakers!

Before the big event on TV yesterday, yes the Royal Wedding, there was the Western Quarterfinals between Lakers and the Hornets.

I wasn't able to watch it on TV because I forgot the time but I was so glad to read the news that Lakers won! They're through to the Semifinals. Yay!

I am hoping for a three peat this year. And sure, they struggled a bit with the Hornets but I have a feeling they'll win the championship again this year.

Go Kobe! Go Lakers!

Weight and Muscles

Another post about my never ending quest to be sexy. LOL!

I woke up late today. I blame the husband for not waking me up early. You see, I have been jogging and walking alternately every morning with hubby since Sunday.

We usually start before 5:30am. Since we're early risers, it's not a problem.

But last night was different. I was woken up by my son's crying. He was having a bad dream. To make him sleep again, I have to stay in his bed and sing. He only slept after 30 minutes.

Then I couldn't sleep right away after that. So I just checked my mails and facebook. Sleep came at 2am.

So I woke up at around 5:40. I was pretty pissed. LOL! I almost did not exercise. Hubby prodded me on, so I got my shoes and went out with him.

I am glad I did exercise because I felt good after. And when I checked the mirror today, I see some muscles are more toned now. Hahahaha!!! I know I am still far from my ideal body but to see some changes after only a week, it's quite encouraging.

I am sure, I'd have pretty fast results with hydroxycut but I will stick to the old and tested way of losing weight and getting toned.

And did I tell you, I can do 10 counts of push up? That's my biggest accomplishment. I could only muster 3 or maximum of 5 before. But now I could do 10 with little hiccups. Yay!

My next goal is to control myself when presented with food. This will take a lot of determination and will power. So goodluck to me.

The other goal is to be able to run/jog for 15 minutes straight without stopping. I think this is more doable than the one above. Hahahaha!!!

My skin gets compliment

I was just telling hubby the previous night how some people are noticing my nice skin.

I am not so used to this kind of compliment. I always get nice comments for my nice teeth. Seriously.

When I was in college, a classmate boldly asked me if I had some dental works. I would have been offended if she did not explain later on that it was actually a compliment. She thought my teeth are nice. LOL!

To be honest, I think I am blessed with a nice set of teeth. If only they are whiter. That's my only complaint. But I am doing something to make it whiter. Read my previous post. Hahahaha!!!

Anyway, back to my skin. Yeah, it's weird that people have been saying nice things about my skin.

If they only knew I had pimples (or was it acne?) about 6 years ago. Yup, I had a serious case of breakouts.

It was almost a year that I suffered those undesirables popping out of my face. I tried some home remedy like honey and lemon, cinnamon etc. It did not work.

But if it happened now, I could just easily check http://www.accutanereviews.net.

Lucky for me, the pimples just disappeared on their own.

I never had that problem again. Sure, I still get the occasional breakouts but it usually disappears a day or two.

Because I am also getting older, I try to take care of my skin. Operative word is try. Usually I am lazy or just too tired to even wash my face at night.

So when I am in the mood, I wash my face. Use toner and then slather my face with moisturizer.

In the morning after shower, I just use a light moisturizer with spf. Beauty experts say we must use spf every single day. So I just follow! LOL!

What about you? DO you have a skin regimen?

Excited about a new home

I will be going home to Manila end of June and stay there until July. I am always excited going back home. For me, nothing beats my home country. But that's just me.

I am also excited about the turn over of our new condo, SEA Residences in MOA. I want to be there when it's turned over so I can put in necessary furnitures right away. We want to rent it out right away.

Our unit in SEA Residences is just a one-bedroom condo. We purchased it for the main purpose of renting it out.

Model Unit

Our agent told us that there will be more developments in that area like casino and some theme parks in the coming few years. There'll be call center too. Plus, it's near the airport so it's very convenient to balikbayans.

I wonder if home automation can be done there?

I also have a slight problem. Shall I rent it out for long term or short term?

But whatever, I am so looking forward to going home.

I want: 012

A laptop!

I just don't know what kind, what type.

I sold my netbook because I was not using it anymore. It was just gathering dust. The one I am using is a Compaq but I think it has little life left. It's 3yo and slow.

Hubby's MacBook Pro is just alien to me. He does not use it actually so I can claim it as my own but I don't know why I haven't warmed up to it. I only use it to surf. When I want to blog or edit pictures, I still use my old one.

I think I still want a PC. Something light (for traveling), fast and affordable. Maybe somewhere between $450-600?

Or maybe I should just wait until this one dies. I mean, there's really no hurry. And I cannot justify a new purchase because this one still works plus we have a back up laptop.

But what if this one never conks out? What then? Hmmmm....

I wish I'd win a laptop or a sponsor will hand it out to me. Wishful thinking. LOL!

Too much on my plate

I just realized I have too much in my plate and I couldn't chew it all. I am talking about my "business".

This jewelry making was just a hobby and now it turned into a little business. I was so happy and excited that people are buying the stuff I made. I accepted orders and had consignments in different stores.

At one point, I had four consignments in four different locations. It was exciting, until I had no more time for other things I love.

I love what I do but I just could not keep up anymore. After all, I am just a one-man business. It's just too much for me.

So I decided to pull out my products in two locations. Right now, I only have two consignments. I think that's just enough.

With only two consignments, I could still make jewelries on my own pace without sacrificing the quality of my products. I could still blog and earn a little. I could still be a wife. I could still be a mom. I could still have my me time.

For a person, it's important to have your own identity. Like me, I had an identity crisis right after I gave birth. I used to ask myself: What or Who am I? My answer then was, I am a wife and a mom. It used to bother me a lot.

Then, I found something I love which affords me to earn something. It was a great feeling. And then suddenly, I was always busy. I have to admit, I had lesser time with my husband and son. Then, I realized, it's not worth it.

Jewelry making is a hobby and I am lucky I am earning from it. I think for now, I should keep it that way. I still want to have a life and quality time with my family. I will leave the "bringing the bacon" to the husband. For now.

Do I make sense?

If not, please just excuse my thoughts. LOL!

Experiment: How to whiten teeth

I've got another experiment on myself. LOL!

I really want to have a white, sparkly teeth. Unfortunately I drink lots of tea and coffee which makes my teeth off white.

The dentist told me, my teeth are perfectly healthy. There's no need to have it whitened.

But I do want a celebrity's white teeth. Hahaha. Forgive my obsession.

Sad to say, I cannot afford a laser or any whitening kind unless it's from over the counter type.

So here's my experiment. I bought an over the counter whitening toothpaste. It promises to whiten my teeth at least two shades. The product is worth $6.75. Very affordable. I have also bought a baking soda. What for? Well, I have read that it can help whiten teeth too.

What I am doing is, I use both products. I brush my teeth with the baking soda first. And then use the whitening toothpaste after.

Believe me, it's a lot of work than the usual brushing but it looks like it's paying off. Honest.

I think my teeth are one shade whiter, at least. Even hubby says so.

Or is it just psychological? LOL!

Whatever! I am going to do this until I finish the box of baking soda. Hahahaha!!! Talk about determination.

No one can make me stop. Now, if only I can apply that determination to losing weight, I am sure I am uber sexy by now. LOL!

Happy Monday everyone!

White for the arms

I am loving my new Adidas watch I bought at Hongkong Airport.

It was a last minute buy. I was not keen on buying anything as we were already running late. But dear hubby won't buy the watch he's been eyeing if I won't buy one. So to make him happy, I bought this Adidas watch. LOL!

I am glad I was swayed to buy this. I now have a weekend watch. And I love it because it makes me feel like a teenager.

Yes, anything to make me feel younger. LOL!

Sucker for black

Yeah, most of my dresses are black. I think you can surmise the reason. It hides the bulges and it doesn't make me look fat. LOL!

This picture was taken at Macau Tower. That's a contrived smile you see. The floor was glass and it made me dizzy looking down.

This dress is from Zara. I love their dresses. I couldn't get enough of them. I just accessorised my dress with a stripe scarf from Muji and wore my yellow shoes over my black tights.

Good thing it was still a bit chilly when we were in Macau. Otherwise I would have sweated like a pig. LOL!

Uninspired

Tired. Lazy. Uninspired. Tired. Lazy....

Hahaha!!! That's how I feel right now. There's just no motivation to move at all. But I cannot afford to just sit idly. I have mountainous of things to do today. That's what happens when you go on a vacation and daily life kind of stops. But when you go back to reality, things have piled up and it's just too overwhelming to sort everything out.

Am I making sense? Don't think so. Hahaha!!!

I need to finish even a few tasks today. And I intend to.

I will also visit a friend who has courageously gone into surgery here. Strong lady! I have visited her when she was still in the hospital last week. She wasn't on patient monitor anymore. She's gone home and recuperating nicely now.

I will also go back to my diet. Hahaha. The perennial diet. Whatever. I think that's part of who I am. If I am not in any form of diet, that's not me anymore. LOL!

Okay, gotta move my butt.

Hope you have a more productive day than I. Happy Tuesday!!!

My AI thoughts for last week

I wasn't able to watch the American Idol elimination because Friday night is date night with the hubby.

But even before it was shown on Starworld we already knew who was eliminated by lunch time.

Hubby's friend texted him. I guess he was overwhelmed because it was his favorite who got booted out. LOL!

My thoughts:

Voters are pretty inconsistent. I wondered why Pia was eliminated? Let me get this straight though, I am not a Pia fan. So I was not sad at all. But I wonder what's in the mind of the voters? Hmmm..

On the other hand, I am over the moon that my favorites are still in there. Scotty's doing great each week. James' performance was sweet and sad and moving. Paul's crazy character is always fun to watch.

I'd like to make a fearless forecast. I can see Scotty in the top 3. But you know what my husband said? He can see Scotty in the top 2. Pretty fearless forecast from his fans. LOL!

So, can you see who's going to win now?

It's down to 8 and it's more exciting each week. Can't week for next week's show.

Nole is HOT!

Literally and figuratively. Hahahaha!!!!

The Sony Ericsson Open in Miami is his 26th straight victory, and his 24th straight victory this year.

Isn't he on fire? Most definitely!

I was not able to watch the Nadal-Djokovic game because it was late at night here but what a pleasant surprise to read Nole's victory against Nadal. Woohoo!!!

He's definitely the player to beat this year. He looks fit, and HOT. I just had to add that. LOL!

I am so looking forward to the clay tournament. Bring it on!
