Reunited with my bed

We're back in Phnom Penh. Our flight last night was a little bumpy. I was getting scared. Well, I am always scared at the slightest shake of an airplane. Thank God, Bangkok to Phnom Penh is just an hour's flight.

While I love staying in the hotels, I did miss my own bed and my own pillow. So I was glad to be reunited with them. LOL!

Today, I have a long list of to-do things. I managed to do the laundry and clean the house. But there's still a long list to tick off like dual diagnosis treatment research, ironing, paying bills, etc, etc.

I am not going to attempt and finish all these work today. I will just give undue stress to myself. I used to be OC about lists. It needs to be done as soon as possible exhausting myself physically and mentally. Now I realize, even the world wasn't built in a day. So I will take it slowly.

It's almost 12 noon now. Got take care of our lunch.

Still in Bangkok

Originally, we were supposed to stay here for three days only. But hubby felt it's "bitin" so I rebooked our ticket and booked another hotel.

Anyway, can I just put my modesty aside and say that I love this picture of me at the Executive Lounge of Centara Grand last night? Why? Because My shoulders look so slim. Lol!!!

I am so shallow that way. Wahahaha!!!

By the way, I am blogging this from my iPhone. Blogger has an apps and I am testing it.

Let's see how it looks.

I can see cheekbones

A friend told me I looked like I lost weight. I said yes. I have actually been steadily losing weight this month without that much of an effort.

We used to have a helper in the house. She went back to the Philippines about three weeks ago because her mother was very sick. She was needed back home.

So anyway, on top of mothering duties, my small jewelry business and online gigs, I do all the housework.

It's very difficult. It's physically exhausting and it tests my time management skills.

I wake up at 5am. Sometimes 4:30am. Then my day starts from there. There's laundry, ironing, cleaning the three floors of the house, cooking and then taking care of my son.

All of these, plus my daily 30 minute exercise (yes, I still try to fit in my daily 30minutes of toning exercise even in my busy sched), I guess have contributed to my weight loss. It's not much but I can see my cheekbones already. That's enough to make me happy.

I want to lose more weight in time for our Europe trip. I want to wear coats and look good on it. LOL!

Torn again

There's going to be an event next month - a family event in our place. And I bummed that I cannot go.

I have been thinking about it for two nights now. Weighing the pros and cons. And I couldn't come up with a decision that makes me happy.

For practical reasons, I shouldn't go. Going home is very expensive. We've reached our quota already when it comes to travel. Next week, we're going to Bangkok and on the first week of November we're going to Europe. So going home next month is a bit heavy on the pocket. Plus it's also stressful because when I come back from that event, I need to pack again for the trip to Europe.

But for family and for sentimental reasons, I really should go home. It's a momentous event and I want to be there with my family when it happens.

Ahhh...what a difficult situation I am in.

It's 60-40 right now in favor of not going home. My mind tells me it's practical to just stay here. But my heart is bleeding that I cannot go home.

I will sleep on it again tonight and hopefully tomorrow I can come up with a best decision.

Apple fans

I haven't realized we're turning into Apple fans. It was my son who pointed out. Two iPhone 4, Three iPad 2 and a Macbook pro. And I am still thinking of buying a Macbook Air. LOL!

But guess, where I am still blogging from? An old Compaq. Hahahaha!!!

I don't know. I still could not bring myself to use the Macbook for my blogging works. I just use it to surf the internet.

I know, I should learn to use it more. Anytime, this old Compaq will die on me and I be left in the dark. But still, I could not leave this baby just yet. Senti much? Hahaha!!!

By the way, as I was browsing for Macbook Air, I've read that there's an ipod touch sale at the source. Check it out! It might not last long.

So yeah, we're Mac converts. Well, almost. If I could only give up this old chunky toy that I love.

My Fall Inspiration

Do you think I will look good on these?

Both are from Zara Fall Collection.

We're flying to Bangkok next Saturday to buy some winter clothes for our trip to Paris on November. A little shopping tip in Bangkok, don't forget to get the reward cards for tourists. Very practical.

Anyways, I haven't worn any coats in my life. Well, I haven't had the need to. Hello, tropical country! This trip to Paris is getting me nuts. I don't know what to wear or how to wear coats. LOL!

So what I am doing now is to window shop online. I am trying to find looks that I think will fit me. Pathetic. Hahahaha!!!

Whatever. I am actually having fun. I can't wait to try on the coats. LOL!

Just something on a Friday

I meant to write blog posts yesterday. I had allotted my morning to blogging. Unfortunately, Blogger was inaccessible yesterday through our ISP - Ezecom. I don't know what happened. But it took them until 4pm to fix the problem.

By then I was already busy. And even if I could find the time to blog about industrial pumps, I was not in the mood anymore. Bleh.

I just used my time beading. I am glad that I am back doing my jewelries again. I haven't touched my beading tools for more than a month I think. I wasn't just feeling it.

I used to have four consignments but I stopped the other three because I couldn't keep up with the supplies. It was hard for me. So now, I only have one consignment. It's doing okay.

The other day, I talked to the owner and she wants me to supply her with jewelries. Different vibe though. I think I can make it.

Let's see how this goes.

I don't want to take on too much responsibilities though. I just might get burned out.

But so far, I am doing good with my time management. I am so pleased with myself. I deserve a new bag. LOL!

It's Friday and I plan to spend my afternoon lying in bed and playing on my iPad.

Happy Friday everyone!!!

Djokovic wins his first US Open!

I woke up at 4:30 in the morning today. I did not set an alarm but I knew I would wake up that early. After all, it's the US Men's Single Final and most importantly Djokovic is playing!

US Open is not being shown in our cable TV so at first I was just listening to the US open radio broadcast. I wasn't able to find a decent live streaming as well.

On the third set of the match, I tried to look again for a live streaming. Luckily I found one. Yay!

Anyway, enough of my blabber. What I really want to say is Novak Djokovic won his first US Open Men's Single title against Rafael Nadal! He's defeated Nadal now in 6 straight finals. Way to go Nole!

Congratulations Nole! I am sure there are more championships to come.

I want: 014

I am in serious bag lust over this.

See by Chloe. Carmen ostrich-effect leather shoulder bag £321

And this is how you wear it. I love it!!!

I was surprised to see the price at Net-a-Porter. By the way, both photos are from Net-a-Porter.com.

The bag is quite affordable, isn't it? I so want it.

I love Mondays

Seriously.

It's a manic Monday most of the time. That's true. But I love the feeling of being able to start something new.

Take for example my eating habit. Weekends are usually cheat mode for me. I eat whatever I like and I don't do my routine exercise.

But come Monday, I go back to being "healthy". My diets usually start on a Monday because I usually follow it through until Friday. But you know what happens on the weekend. LOL!

If I start my Monday right, the rest of the week goes on without a hitch. I don't know. It's psychological or something?

Today is Monday. I woke up with a great feeling. I finished a lot of tasks already prior to writing this post. I feel great!

Now I am sure, everything will be okay the rest of this week.

I am positive.

Saturday 9: Money Grabber

Welcome to Saturday: 9. What we've committed to our readers is that we will post 9 questions every Saturday. Sometimes the post will have a theme, and at other times the questions will be totally unrelated. Those weeks we do "random questions," so-to-speak. We encourage you to visit other participants posts and leave a comment. Because we don't have any rules, it is your choice. We hate rules. We love memes, however, and here is today's meme!

Saturday 9: Money Grabber

1. Has anyone ever intentionally ripped you off? Or perhaps unintentionally?
++ Yes, I am sure it was intentional.

2. When was the last time that you made a quip that fell completely flat and embarrassed you?
++ Hmmm....just last month. I was talking to an acquaintance about birthday party invitations and I said, people are so rude because they don't know how to answer an RSVP. Turned out she was one of those people. Oppsss...lol

3. When you go to sleep, does it you need to be absolutely quiet or do you need a little noise (radio, TV, music or white)?
++ It should be quiet. But sometimes, I need a little soft music to lull me to sleep.

4. Do you have a memorable "ripped clothing" moment in your life? No? How about in someone else's? (Come on, you know you have something to contribute!)
++ No, sorry nothing to share here..

5. What's changed on your blog since its inception? ...a redo? ...a change of pace? ...or is it still business as usual?
++ So many things has changed in this blog. But still business as usual lol

6. Can you remember where you were in life ten years ago? If you could travel back in time and whisper something to yourself ten years ago, what would it be?
++ Don't worry too much. You will be alright =)

7. Okay, let's have it! What's the craziest, most impulsive thing you've ever done?
++ I am only impulsive when it comes to shopping.

8. If you were having a bad day what or who would you turn to for comfort?
++ Hubby and food.

9. According to the song White Rabbit, "one pill makes you larger and one pill makes you small". If you were offered these pills today, which pill would you take and where would it take you?
++ How large or how small will you be when you take the pill?

Hello September 2011!

It's September already. The start of the 'ber months. And it can only mean one thing, Christmas is near!

Where did the time go? I felt like we just celebrated Christmas a couple of months ago. And here we are now about to celebrate Christmas again! It is crazy, isn't it?

We have not planned anything about Christmas yet. That's because we still have a couple of travels left before that.

We still have a lot of things to do actually. There's the clothes shopping and flight bookings and accommodation. I wish I can do everything online. Unfortunately, shopping online is still not viable from where I live. If it were, things like Howard medical cart, etc will be a breeze.

Anyway, I can feel that the next few months will be awesome.

Hello September! Let's have a great time together!
