I am a multi-tasker. I think I have been born that way. LOL!
And you know what, I have never really fully appreciated that fact until it's become useful to my weight loss.
When I tackle the ironing, I try to do squats. While cooking, I make bending exercises. While watching TV, I try to do 100 crunches.
I know it's just little things but I think they are crucial to helping me tone my muscles.
I don't mean to brag (but I really do, LOL!), but my shoulders and tummy are now firm. They're not model types but they're not flabby either.
Last week my weight dipped to 56.6kgs. My friend said I looked like a walking skeleton. I know it was exaggerated but I saw her point.
Anyway, over the weekend I did indulge - too many junk food and a buffet. It was really a wrong choice but it was a test to myself. I gained almost 1kg over two days.
So last Monday, I worked harder and pushed myself harder during my exercise routine. Here's what I did. Please take note, there's no rest in between.
100 fast paced skipping rope
50 crunches
50 fast paced skipping rope
squats (hold it for 50 counts)
50 fast paced skipping rope
50 counts of bicycle
50 fast paced skipping rope
10 push ups
50 fast paced skipping rope
downward dog position (hold it for 50 counts)
50 fast paced skipping rope
25 bench dip
50 fast paced skipping rope
plank exercise (hold it for 50 counts)
50 fast paced skipping rope
20 dumb bell curl
50 fast paced skipping rope
butterfly pose (hold it for 50 counts)
Usually this lasts about 30 minutes. If it's less than thirty minutes, I add more or I repeat some.
They say athletes are not made in the gym. So I say, healthy and lean bodies aren't made in the gym too. You can do it in the comforts of your own home.
